What are the effects on children who grow up as adults whom have had a workaholic father and distant mother?

Each of us have to move beyond our parents...my Mom was a VICTIM and my Dad was an ABUSER. What I am today...after years of work...is a delighted survivor. They are NOT who I am. It took time...and I am happy to say that the less I worked at it...the easier it got!

Okay recently i asked on here what could make my nails grow strong after finally quitting..And a lot of people said gelatin well i can not take Knox gelatin for personal reason so what other ways can i get gelatin help? Can i like eat enough jello to make my nails grow faster??Since its main ingredient it gelatin? thanks for your help in advance!!!

I need help with a problem with my neighbor that lives in the apartment above me. I have 3 children 14, 10 & 6

I am going through a divorce. I live in a duplex apartment. I have lived here for 3 years. My upstairs neighbor has been here for a little over 1 year. The problem is that her son and my son are in constant conflict. The mother is never around when her son is doing something but she is always around when my son is the "bully" when in reality for the most part he is retaliating. I know that neither child is totally faultless. Last night she was outside yelling at my child for saying that her sons Jordans (sneakers) were fake...(my thought is who cares). My son says that he didnt say it but then her son calls my sons sneakers fake (and thats ok). Her son has also given two death threats to my son. The first one on "myspace" two months ago and last night he says "Im gonna blow your brains out". The mother then took her son to the side. They also think I am stuck up because I dont sit outside and drink with them. I dont have time and have other priorities.

Why are people so easily manipulated by the media?

I have noticed that, even in this day and age, people are so easily brainwashed by the media, religions and politics. For example: Second hand smoke is bad for you when no study has ever been conducted to prove it... Or school shootings, let's put bars on windows and lock the kids in ... Or all pedophiles are child molesters (which is like saying that all Christians are murderers, if one does it then they all must do it) ... Or saying that terrorists have not won and yet, they have. (Have you been to an airport lately?) It just seems like if the papers print it, or reporters report it then everyone believes it when we all know, 90 percent of it is nothing but sensationalism... Why do you people always believe what you read?

Go for this trade. I think you have enough players who give you rebounds, but not enough guys who will give you steals. Baron Davis is an excellent option for that. That being said, you're going to have to drop someone if you accept the trade. You'll probably want to drop Brand, because he's been all over the place this season.
