Is it ok for a 3month old puppy to eat a stick?

My puppy just came in the doggy door with a stick, I threw it back out, and she went and found it and is now munching on it...the stick is as long as she is! Is this ok? Will it hurt her if she's chewing/eating it? She acts like it's her new bestfriend!
